For the eighth consecutive year, TCA and Habitat for Humanity Orange County joined forces by hosting an annual charity golf tournament. This year’s event was held on June 20th at El Niguel Country Club in Laguna Niguel. The tournament raised $60,000 for Habitat for Humanity’s mission of working in partnership with families in Orange County to provide decent, affordable housing. At this year’s tournament, TCA presented a $100,000 check from proceeds of past golf tournament to Habitat for Humanity to help fund their upcoming project in Cypress, California.

This year’s $10,000 Tournament Sponsor was Option One Mortgage/HR Block and $5000 Platinum Sponsors included Forest City Enterprises, LDI Mechanical/Parks Mechanical, Suffolk Construction, New Century Financial, TCA and Dale Christian Structural Engineers. The $1700 Silver Sponsors included Irvine Apartment Communities, HRP LanDesign, Fuscoe Engineering, Camden Development, The Gas Company, Standard Pacific Homes, Chinatown Gateway LLC, Crown Pacific Properties, International Parking Design, PCR, Focus 360, Taylor Woodrow Homes, Related Companies, Shea Properties,

Legacy Partners, Van Dorpe Chou Associates, Reliable Graphics and EPT DESIGN. The $3,500 Lunch Sponsor was OCB and Fletcher Jones Motorcars lent a Mercedes Benz for the tournament hole-in-one contest.

“I am proud and pleased that TCA was able to contribute $100,000 towards Habitat’s upcoming project in Cypress,” said Thom Cox, CEO/Managing Partner for Irvine-based architecture firm. “This year’s tournament surpassed last year’s proceeds by $20,000 due in large in part to the building industry rallying behind a good cause year after year.”

Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to removing poverty housing from our communities by offering home ownership to those who make less than 50% of the median income for Orange County and are in need of adequate housing.
