TCA All American Picnic a success
The weather could not have been more perfect as TCA welcomed staff and their families to our first company picnic held Saturday, August 20th at Little Oaks Park in Orange. Inspired by an “All American” theme; employees, their families & friends dined on good old-fashioned cuisine of smoky barbequed chicken, sizzling hamburgers, potato salad, juicy summer melon and fresh baked cookies.

Decorations of red, white and blue balloons, adorned the location as attendees arrived dressed patriotic apparel. Festivities included an assortment of team competitions such as the traditional three-legged race, a water balloon toss, volleyball, ping-pong tournaments, and a watermelon eating contest. Clowns twisted balloon animals and artists painted faces as kids ransacked their stars and striped goodie-bags for prizes and candy.

A highlight of the picnic was a raffle drawing for a series of summer gift baskets containing outdoor encouraging activities. A bacchi ball set, fishing poles, water shooters, kites, an ice chest, and a camping size BBQ set were among some of the prizes. The grand prize winner, Nathan White, was presented with a wine cooler, two bottles of wine, and a picnic blanket, perfect for a lazy afternoon in sunny Southern California.

Some special attendees of the picnic included Joann, Parker and Callie Williams whose father Rand Williams is currently serving in Kosovo for the U.S. Army Reserves. Rand has worked at TCA for several years and is expected to return to work this spring.

TCA would like to thank the picnic committee (Tim Mustard, Gail Dyer, Kim Stickel, Jim Thornton, Melissa Hollingsworth, and Greg Archuleta) for donating their time and energy to the planning and preparations for this event. The successful outcome reflected their hard work and we look forward to next year’s event!
