TCA PROMOTES ARCHITECTS INTO DISTINGUISHED LEADERSHIP POSITIONS
TCA recently promoted five individuals into key leadership positions within their Irvine headquarters. TCA has recently opened an office in downtown Los Angeles and these promotions will play a significant role in the company’s growth and expansion as one of the premier urban design firms in Southern California.

Daniel P. Gehman, AIA was promoted to Principal and is one of TCA’s most talented architects and staff mentor. He oversees a design studio and is currently working on a number of TCA’s high-profile projects in downtown Los Angeles which include a $250 million mixed-use development in Little Tokyo known as

Block 8 and several high-rise adaptive re-use condominium conversion projects. Gehman is a regular speaker on architectural design, lending his expertise at the Urban Land Institute’s annual Multifamily Trends Conference, Multi-Housing World and AIA (The American Institute of Architects.) A graduate of Cornell University’s College of Architecture and Planning, Gehman actively recruits new graduates as his understudies.

Eric Olsen, AIA was promoted to Associate Principal and has been with the firm since 1995. He is the lead architect on several of TCA’s notable high-density projects including Westgate, a mixed-use project located in Pasadena. This project was recently honored

with a 2005 Award of Excellence by the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU) where Olsen was a featured speaker on design typologies. Olsen is also currently serving as Director of Communications for the Orange County AIA Chapter and is a graduate of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

Harry Steinway was promoted to Senior Associate in addition to serving as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer. With his educational background in both architecture and finance, Steinway oversees the firm’s finances while monitoring the project budgets from design concept to completion. Steinway will continue to enhance project profitability, set revenue and profit goals while improving operational efficiency and

productivity of the firm. Steinway received a Masters in Architecture from University of California, Los Angeles and an MBA in Operations Management and Marketing from Columbia University.
John Brooks, AIA was promoted to Senior Associate in addition to his duties as a Senior Project Manager to a number of TCA’s urban mixed-use projects. His role as Senior Associate will be to take an active role in TCA’s present and future leadership. Brooks will continue to coordinate monthly company-wide gatherings where TCA’s current design and industry achievements are presented to the staff. Brooks is a member of the AIA and received his architecture degree at University of California, Berkeley.

Jorden Segraves, AIA, LEED was promoted to Associate in addition to being a Project Manager at TCA and the local president of the United States Green Building Council's (USGBG) Orange County Chapter. Segraves is slated to be a speaker on Green Housing at the year’s Multi-Housing World Conference in San Diego, California and is LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified. He is a graduate of Woodbury University with a degree in architecture.
